All employees of Mobile Diagnostic Specialists follow all HIPPA and HCFA regulations and guidelines. We can make sure your patient’s HIPPA rights are followed, and help you with the guidelines. We know how your information may or may not be shared and can help your practice follow regulation and take the appropriate steps and measures to keep all health information secure.

For patients: The law sets rules and limits at who can look and receive your personal information. Your health information cannot be used or shared without your written permission unless this law allows it. Without your authorization, your provider generally cannot:

• Give your information to your employer
• Use or share your information for marketing or advertising purposes
• Your health is protected by federal law. Most doctors, nurses, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, nursing homes and other health care providers must follow this.
• Certain government programs that pay for health care, such as Medicare and Medicaid.
• Health insurance companies, HMOs and most employer group health plans.
